How does the Services Directive affect consumers?In general, the Services Directive will result in important benefits for consumers in the form of improved levels of quality, a wider range of offered services and lower prices.Moreover, the Directive is especially concerned with protecting the rights of service recipients by establishing all the information to which recipients must have easy access – data about providers, channels for making claims and appeals that can be filed or data on associations that they can contact in order to obtain assistance – and by formalising the right to use the services of other Member States.
