The Government has implemented the Spanish Plan for encouraging Economy and Employment, which comprises 80 economic, financial and fiscal measures.
The Plan establishes the Special State Fund to Encourage Economy and Employment, with an allocation of 3,000 million euros. The purpose of this Fund, set up by means Royal Decree-Law 9/2008, is to improve the short-term economic situation of certain strategic sectors and undertake projects with a high impact on job creation.
The ministries managing the Fund will include the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sport, and the Ministry of Defence.

Motor Industry Measures
Allocation of 800 million euros for sustaining and enhancing the competitiveness of the motor industry in Spain. The specific purpose and courses of action to be financed will be determined by means of a subsequent Council of Ministers Resolution once the basic strategic European Union guidelines aimed at offsetting the impact of global economic policy in this sector have been laid down.
