Point two of the sole article of Royal Decree 507/2021, of 10 July, amending Royal Decree 2/2020 of 12 January, establishes that::

  1. The Ministry of Finance and Civil Service is responsible for proposing and executing the Government's policy on public finance, budgets and expenditure, in addition to the other powers and duties conferred on it by law.
  2. The Ministry of Finance and Civil Service is also responsible for proposing and implementing government policy on public administration, the civil service and public governance.
